Cadastral and address modernisation project
We are implementing a new digital cadastre management and maintenance environment as part of the Cadastre and Address Modernisation (CAM) project.
After extensive investigation and assessment, the Spatial Information team have identified the Esri ArcGIS Parcel Fabric system as the preferred solution for management of Queensland’s spatial cadastre.
Esri ArcGIS is already widely used in government for the management and use of a wide range of foundation spatial data. Parcel Fabric will supersede the existing Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB) environment, allowing us to provide a modern, standards-based, commercial off-the-shelf (CoTS) platform for management of spatial cadastre.
It also unlocks the capability for:
- fully digital integration of cadastral data
- use of 3D and 4D data
- improved data sharing by enabling near real-time publish/subscribe data models.
We are scheduled to start implementing Parcel Fabric by mid-2024.
