Andrew graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, majoring in natural resources management in 1992. Since graduating, Andrew has held a variety of operational and corporate management roles in industry and government and currently leads the technical services team in the georesources division of the Department of Resources. The management of safety, social and environmental risks from Queensland abandoned mines is a key function of the technical services team.
